The DADOS Platform is excellent for any studies with specific workflow and timepoints, already having years of successful orthopaedic studies through the platform itself. It allows for the tracking of patient data through extended time points and multiple questionnaires making sure that all the information you need is accessible to you at any point.
DADOS can follow up electronically once the patient’s email in the system. The patient is emailed within a predetermined window before their surgery date, allowing them to complete Pre-admission PROMs online. Staff can use DADOS to check if a patient has completed these PROMs when they sign-in at the clinic if they’re haven’t, they can easily fill them out when they come into the clinic.
DADOS can be used for Orthopedic care after major procedures through a focus on physio and collecting points of data surrounding more external care. Our platform is able to collect PROMS as well as additional data that can be used to pull unique reports on the fly.
The focus of the DADOS Platform with the Orthopaedic departments is that the PROMS already exist in our system which makes it incredibly easy to fill them out and submitting the data to the ministry. Currently, the ministry is only mandated for hip + knee but it will be required for other joints in the future. So why not future proof your department with DADOS helping ortho departments have a PROMs reporting system in place before the other joints are required to make capturing and reporting of the required questionnaires easy.
DADOS can help to easy admin workloads as the self-registration links can be sent ahead of the appointment. We allow for patients to register and fill out any initial PROMS before appointments. If the patient is unable to complete these beforehand DADOS is mobile friendly and easily works on I-Pads which our team can help install in any clinic.
We can make it easier for groups to integrate with their data as DADOS’s data has integrated with Power BI – allowing folks to create reports and create visualizations of the data for your organization.

Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System Outcome Measures and Mental Health in Orthopaedic Trauma Patients During Early Recovery, a study published in the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma, analyzes some of the psychological and social challenges patients with orthopaedic trauma face, especially post-discharge.
The study co-author Heather K. Vincent, Ph.D., of the UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Institute, believes the patients “are facing a major life change” and many of those with no history of anxiety or depression experience some sort of psychiatric symptoms and face challenges after their trauma. Read the full article to learn more about this study and why Dr. Vincent believes that considering the patient “as a whole” is one of the key factors in their recovery.
PROMIS CAT questionnaires integrated into DADOS help clinicians keep track of their patients’ mental health, including for domains such as anxiety, depression, or sleep disturbance. Find out how DADOS can help you provide patient-centred care.
DADOS improves the quality of care by tracking patient-reported outcomes and using population analytics. The application is designed to be fully compliant with privacy regulations (HIPAA/PIPEDA), with enhanced privacy-related features including audit logging capabilities, role-based user access permissions, and a repository for study-related source documentation.
With a secure web-based interface it is compatible with personal computers and tablets for data entry. Reports can be generated in real-time regardless of geographic location, allowing researchers in a central location to manage the entire process for multi-centre studies.
Patient-reported outcomes are an important tool in assessing the effectiveness of a surgical procedure. Smith & Nephew, a medical technology company, recently announced the launch of a new platform (in partnership with Wellframe) targeted to orthopaedic surgeons that enables mobile Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS) Computer-Adaptive Tests (CATs). Read the full article to find out how orthopedic surgeons can track their patients’ recovery in real time, eliminating the need of clinical visits.
Traditional PROs require the patients to answer up to 40 or more questions at each follow-up visit. PROMIS-CAT approaches use information from pervious answers to reduce that to five to seven questions on average. The time burden on patients to complete the questionnaire is reduced, which can improve the completion rates – over 25% of post-operative paper-based PROs were not completed in the UK’s NHS data cited in the article.
