
In a recent study published in Osteoarthritis and Cartilage, researchers compared 2-year results from two randomized studies to determine what treatment – non-surgical management or total knee replacement – fits the needs of the individual patient with knee osteoarthritis.
The study found that the patients who had surgery performed after a non-surgical treatment experienced greater pain relief and improvement than those with the surgery alone.
