A study presented by Dr Fabrice Denis, radiation oncologist of Institut Inter-Regional de Cancérologie Jean-Bernard, France, at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting highlighted the impact of electronic patient-reported outcomes (PROs) on the survival of lung cancer patients.
In a current trial, the primary outcome for the experimental group was the overall survival. Dr. Denis relates this improvement to an “earlier detection of symptoms and relapses, prompting earlier treatment and supportive care.” Read the full article to learn what software Dr. Denis and his team used to collect patient-reported outcomes in this study.
