In a recent study researchers from the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York have identified meaningful outcomes after arthroscopic treatment of femoral acetabular impingement (FAI). Patient-reported outcomes (PROs) collected in this study showed that although patients undergoing arthroscopic treatment of FAI can achieve positive outcomes post-surgery, a high level of improvement is needed for them to feel significantly better.
PROMs are increasingly used by healthcare providers to assess patients’ progress post-surgery. With about 50 computer adaptive testing (CAT) based PROMIS tools integrated into the DADOS Electronic Data Capture Platform, you can focus on relevant health status domains that, unlike other PROMs, take just a few minutes to complete.
